XIDABY: Velero de Lujo Viudes 25m

XIDABY is a 24.99-metre sailing yacht with a 6.30-metre beam, built in Spain by Viudes (North Wind SL) and delivered in 1993. Conceived in aluminium as a custom one-off, she has benefited from a significant programme of upgrades between 2016 and 2024 and is presented today in notably well-kept condition.

With exterior design and naval architecture by Marcelo Penna, XIDABY has clean, well-balanced lines, with restrained freeboard, an uncluttered deck layout and an elegant, timeless profile. Her aluminium construction, low-profile superstructure and 6.30-metre beam reinforce a composed and harmonious appearance.

    Life on deck

Life on deck is centred around a well-integrated aft cockpit, with opposing seating, a central table and a layout that works particularly well both under way and at anchor. The twin-wheel helm position is clearly separated from the main seating area, allowing for comfortable circulation between sailing and relaxation.

Broad, uncluttered decks further enhance that sense of space expected of a large cruising sailing yacht, with generous side decks, a clean foredeck and highly usable exterior areas throughout. The option of creating ample shaded areas with bimini awnings also adds noticeably to comfort while at anchor.

    Interiors

The interior, designed by Josep Juanpere Miret, has a calm, light-filled and well-proportioned atmosphere. Natural light through the large saloon windows gives real character to the main living area and enhances the overall sense of volume on board.

The main saloon and dining area form an open, comfortable and highly liveable space, while the chart table and separate galley complete a practical and well-resolved layout. The owner’s cabin stands out for its sense of space and calm, comfortable feel, complemented by a spacious and elegant en suite bathroom. The two guest cabins, both arranged with twin berths and en suite bathrooms, follow the same interior language, while the independent crew area reinforces the yacht’s overall practicality on board.

    Refit and upgrades

In recent years, XIDABY has undergone a deep and far-reaching programme of works. Among the most significant upgrades are the replacement of the main engines with two 190 hp Steyr units (2017) with ZF gearboxes, the renewal of the power generation system with two Kohler generators installed in 2012 and 2023, and a number of interior and comfort upgrades, including the refurbishment of the air-conditioning system and further works that have refreshed both the atmosphere and interior layout of the yacht.

This has been matched by particularly significant exterior works, including a full teak deck refit in 2023, the rebuilding of the portlights with new frames and glazing, and the installation of new flush Solimar hatches. This programme is further supported by recent, well-documented maintenance, with a haul-out in March 2026 and servicing kept fully up to date, including the annual engine service carried out in November 2025.

For life on board and cruising alike, XIDABY offers a strong combination of comfort, autonomy and comprehensive equipment. She is fitted with a watermaker, air conditioning and heating, twin generators, updated electronics including radar, AIS transceiver, four plotters, two autopilots, an NMEA 2000 network and Starlink, as well as a hydraulic platform, a 2.85-metre Williams tender and a well-appointed interior including an equipped galley, washer/dryer, TV and ambient lighting.

Spanish-flagged and located in Barcelona, XIDABY is a large cruising sailing yacht with real identity, a balanced overall configuration and an upgrade history that clearly strengthens her appeal within her category.
