Our Story

The legacy of our brand began in Barcelona more than 50 years ago under the name of “Astilleros Viudes” and it was known for having built more than 100 luxury yachts for the industry under the brand name Viudes.

Viudes advertised worldwide the quality and experience that a Spanish shipyard could offer the international market.

Viudes Yachts was revived as an international brand, restarting its operations in 2008 in its original location in the port of Barcelona, to combine the experience and excellent craftsmanship of “Astilleros Viudes” with the current ideas and technologies of the new founders of Viudes Yachts.

The result of the coming together of these two forces took shape in the building of the Viudes flagship 45 metre yacht called M/Y PRIDE which was completed and delivered in 2013.

Viudes Yachts Today

Over the last 7 years, Viudes Yachts has worked in close collaboration liaising in the development of a wide range of fully customisable yacht building projects, from 24 metres to 62 metres in length, in collaboration with the main ship builders in the world, such as Sanlorenzo, Baglietto, Admiral, Cerri or Overmarine, among others.

At Viudes we have taken on the challenge of turning the company in to a complete nautical services company, where our main interest is in offering our clients all of the facilities so that their only concern is enjoying their boat and the sea, becoming, once again, a market leader in the world of yachting and luxury yachts.
